About Us

Bill Vaughan, Principal Forester
After graduating from Oregon State University in 1993, Vaughan worked for 20 years under his uncle, Stephen Staub, one of the most respected forestry consultants in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  He became licensed as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF #2685) by the State of California in 2000 and has continued to prepare Timber Harvest Plans (THPs), Non-industrial Timber Management Plans (NTMPs), Forest Management Plans and Timber appraisals for over 25 years.  After his uncle’s passing in 2012, Staub Forestry became known as Vaughan Forestry, but Staub’s legacy continues to drive every aspect of the firm’s operation.
